Psychologist at Racing for Recovery Job Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat the psychological problems and the behavioral dysfunctions resulting from, or related to physical and mental health.
- Perform psychological assessments, testing, and evaluations to help diagnose conditions or learn more about how people think, feel, and behave.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes.
- Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment.
- Monitor client progress through regular meetings or sessions.
- Work with counselors, therapists, case managers, and other professionals to provide the best care possible.
- Completing all necessary clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide referrals when necessary for additional care, evaluation, or treatment.

- PhD with proven experience
- CARF accreditation experience preferred.
- Therapy/Therapeutical Services, Risk Assessment, Testing Procedures, Interviewing, Forensics
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
- Knowledge, understanding, and implementation of ASAM level of care, substance abuse treatment, and counseling techniques.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation and recordkeeping practices
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality, and exercise good judgement.
