While working closely with research personnel, participates actively in a structured learning experience in the laboratory or clinical research setting. Gains hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research. Responsibilities- Under direct supervision, student may conduct research in the laboratories and/or clinical setting

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student.
- This position is NOT applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for an undergraduate degree/diploma.

- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

- Students with previous research laboratory experience are often preferred.
- Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to distinguish color.
- Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, bio-hazards, radioactive materials, etc.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum hourly: $15.00
Maximum hourly: $150.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
