Corporate State Tax Manager
Description
Summary: The Tax Segment Manager is responsible for managing and directing all activities regarding tax research, planning, and/or compliance required by Corporate Finance and of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works to optimize the tax obligation of the organization.
- Manage state compliance by ensuring timely completion of state income/franchise tax returns and estimated payments.
- Act as a liaison with taxing authorities on state audits.
- Lead and mentor team members, ensuring compliance targets and professional development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement strategies to enhance the state process.
- Researches current and proposed tax legislation and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience using Microsoft tools
Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) ( No = eligible for overtime pay)
