Duties

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Perform animal restraint and handling for various species, including dogs and cats ensuring safety for both animals and staff.
• Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostics to support accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain detailed medical records, including treatment plans, medication administration, and laboratory results.
• Manage pet care routines to promote comfort and well-being.
• Handle X-ray procedures accurately while understanding veterinary terminology and animal physiology to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Provide animal husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring health status across different species.
• Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs and administering treatments under veterinarian supervision.

Qualifications

• Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in veterinary terminology and animal anatomy knowledge.
• Familiarity with terminology, laboratory procedures, X-ray technology, and veterinary critical care is preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in venipuncture, IV catheterization, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures.
• Experience handling dogs and cats; comfort working with various breeds and temperaments.
• Strong animal handling skills combined with pet care expertise to ensure safety and comfort during treatments.
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail across multiple tasks.

Hours

Monday - Friday 9a-5p
