The Opportunity:
The Director, Operational Strategic Initiatives is responsible for leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that drive operational transformation, scalability, and performance improvement across the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and support functions to identify opportunities, develop strategic roadmaps, and ensure successful execution of enterprise priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Identify, prioritize, and lead complex operational initiatives aligned to enterprise strategy
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Translate high-level business objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
- Drive execution discipline across initiatives to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Operational Excellence & Performance Improvement
- Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and financial outcomes
- Lead process improvement efforts, leveraging data, automation, and best practices
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track success and drive accountability
- Implement scalable frameworks, governance structures, and playbooks to support growth
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with leaders across Revenue Cycle, Client Delivery, IT, and other functions to drive alignment and execution
- Serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful initiative delivery
- Influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority to drive outcomes
Change Management & Transformation
- Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, adoption, and sustainability
- Identify risks, dependencies, and barriers, and proactively mitigate challenges
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor teams or project resources supporting initiatives
- Promote accountability, collaboration, and high performance across teams
- Provide executive-level updates, insights, and recommendations
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle, consulting, or strategic initiatives
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes
Preferred
- Experience in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) or healthcare operations
- Experience with large-scale transformation, integrations, or operational redesign
- Familiarity with automation, analytics, or AI-driven process improvement

Work Environment & Travel

Compensation
- Base Salary Range: $145,000 – $185,000 annually
