You open the job packet, translate specs into a tooling plan, build a robust set‑up, validate with a flawless first piece, and keep production flowing with disciplined checks and documentation.

Your impact

• Turn blueprints/job orders into a clear set‑up strategy covering dimensions, tolerances, and tooling.
• Outfit the machine: secure collets, bushings, and stock pushers; load bar stock into the feeder.
• Tune motion with the right cams, gears, and stops for controlled tool/stock movement.
• Stage tools in holders and set cutting speeds and feeds for optimal results.
• Cycle, measure, and refine until performance and part accuracy are locked in.
• Start production, monitor closely, and perform a first‑piece inspection to confirm specifications.
• Submit conforming first‑piece parts to Quality for approval before release.
• Run interval‑based part checks and complete all documentation.
• Operate within the 2‑pan system to sustain flow and quality.
• Swap or sharpen worn tools at the bench grinder to maintain edge performance.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workstation; handle additional duties as assigned.
