Every part that leaves our facility meets exacting standards, and our Deburring & Texturizing Operators play a hands-on role in making that happen.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Hand Deburring & Texturizing Operator performs secondary finishing operations on precision-machined parts, removing burrs, rough edges, and excess material using hand tools and motorized equipment. This role also performs surface texturizing to enhance appearance or achieve required surface finish (RA) specifications. Attention to detail, steady hands, and a commitment to part quality are what make someone great in this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow the job router for specific processing instructions on each part
• Review blueprints for specified angles, radii, chamfers, and surface finish requirements
• Deburr parts using hand tools and up to 10X magnification as required
• Perform surface texturizing operations to achieve required appearance or RA specifications
• Maintain specified production rate while consistently achieving acceptable quality levels
• Handle parts carefully to avoid nicks, scratches, or damage to ID/OD surfaces
• Operate equipment including air and electric grinders, buffing wheels, speed lathes, and belt sanders
• Keep work area and machines clean and organized at all times

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform detailed hand work for extended periods
• Ability to work under microscope magnification continuously throughout a shift
• Ability to identify critical surfaces and handle precision parts without causing damage
• Ability to follow written and verbal processing instructions accurately
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Reliable, focused, and quality-conscious

Preferred:

• Prior experience in deburring, finishing, or secondary machining operations
• Basic blueprint reading skills
• Familiarity with surface finish requirements and RA specifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating air/electric grinders, buffing wheels, or belt sanders
