Twin Resources Recruiting is partnering with a manufacturing company in Springfield, Ohio to identify an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the overall financial success of an organization.

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, manage transactional accounting activities, and lead a small accounting team. This position reports directly to the Controller and offers exposure to a variety of accounting and finance functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain financial reports, accounting records, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and accounting transactions.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and file quarterly Commercial Activity Tax (CAT) and Sales Tax returns.
• Monitor accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review payroll reports, monthly accruals, and GAAP-related journal entries.
• Manage and develop two Accounting Clerks.
• Take ownership of transactional accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with special projects and support financial initiatives as assigned by the Controller and CFO.
• Cross-train in additional accounting and finance functions to support departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to dive into day-to-day accounting activities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and other business software applications.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and strong attendance record.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent internal and external service skills.
