Industrial Painter/Parts Washer Operator
- Operate parts washing equipment to clean fabricated, machined, and assembled components.
- Remove grease, oil, dirt, rust, and other contaminants from parts prior to painting or assembly.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, grinding, masking, and other required methods.
- Mix and apply primers, paints, and protective coatings according to specifications.
- Operate spray painting equipment and related finishing tools.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality, coverage, and finish requirements.
- Perform touch-up work as needed to ensure product quality.
- Maintain paint booths, parts washers, and related equipment.
- Follow work instructions, drawings, and production schedules.
- Work closely with manufacturing, assembly, and quality personnel to support production goals.
- Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean work area and comply with all company safety policies and environmental regulations.
- Assist with other manufacturing duties as assigned.
- Care for and maintain all paint equipment
- Order supplies in accordance with business needs
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial painting, powder coating, parts washing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience painting industrial machinery, fabricated steel, or large equipment.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
- Knowledge of industrial paint systems and surface preparation techniques.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, paint fumes, and varying temperatures.
