Hydraulic Product Manager - Mobile Sectional Products

The Product Manager - Mobile Sectional Valves is responsible for delivering a differentiated product to market that addresses customer needs and represents a viable business opportunity.?This role serves as a liaison between Sales, customers, Product Divisions, and Manufacturing Operations. The position focuses on defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Mobile Sectional Valve product line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mobile Sectional Valves
• Gather, manage, and prioritize market/customer requirements for hydraulic valve applications
• Act as the customer advocate, articulating user and buyer needs for mobile hydraulic applications
• Represent HYDAC with customers, developing relationships with key customer engineers
• Train and educate the sales team on new product releases and solution selling opportunities for Mobile Sectional Valves
• Provide technical support and consulting to sales teams to deliver winning system solutions for mobile hydraulic applications
• Monitor the market and develop competitive analyses for mobile valve applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
• Prioritize product features and capabilities based on market needs and business strategy
• Provide Voice of Customer/Market feedback to product divisions for new product ideas

Requirements

• Associate degree in engineering required; BS in engineering preferred
• Experience in hydraulic systems, particularly mobile sectional valves and mobile hydraulic applications
• Understanding of different valve types (sectional, monoblock) and their applications
• Must be able to travel 30-40% of the time
• Experience with common product management practices, standards, and procedures
• Knowledge of common engineering concepts, practices, standards, and procedures
• Self-starter with ability to follow through on assigned projects
• Ability to develop effective relationships with Customers, Sales, and Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic valve applications
• Experience with hydraulic system sizing and valve selection software
• Familiarity with APQP methodology and implementation
• Familiarity with business P&L and Cost/Price analysis
• Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts
• Location of Wooster, OH is preferred but would consider Schaumburg, IL.
