Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1660-$1700
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel RN)
• Location: Sylvania, OH (43560) – Float between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, & Wildwood facilities
• Unit: Medical Surgical/Rehabilitation (Rehab Unit)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/16/2025 – End: 12/16/2025)
• Weekend Coverage: Every third weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Charting System: EPIC (required)
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Parking: Free onsite

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio – required for Ohio nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute Med/Surg or Rehab RN experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• EPIC charting experience
• Willingness to float between service line and affiliate facilities
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• 2 professional references from the past 24 months
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• No local travelers within a 50-mile radius
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, SCI, neuro, ortho, amputee, cancer/cardiac, and debility
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement rehabilitation interventions
• Float between Medical Surgical and Rehab units across multiple Ohio healthcare facilities
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Administer medications, manage IVs, perform blood glucose monitoring, and provide wound care
• Assist with feeding devices, tube care, tracheostomy care, and patient mobilization
• Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and rehabilitation goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and adhere to isolation precautions
• Participate in orientation and required facility modules
