Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Data Analyst Intern for Summer 2026 (May 18 – early Aug) . This position is onsite/hybrid located in Columbus, Ohio. The application deadline is Feb 12, 2026.

The Health Analytics Division specializes in developing advanced Information Technology and Data Management solutions for our government and commercial clients. Main responsibilities will be to define, architect, and build data pipelines and processes by coordinating with subject matter experts, software engineers, and epidemiologists.

Responsibilities

  • Solving technical problems using Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) approaches in areas that require mathematical and/or statistical methods and knowledge
  • Communicating on a regular basis with project leaders, team members and client stakeholders including mathematicians, computer scientists, statisticians, epidemiologist, and engineers
  • Proactively managing expectations and meeting deadlines in a fast moving, agile software development environment
  • Conducting and participating in assigned projects with minimum of supervision and within time and budget constraints
  • Thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment solving problems in a variety of application areas
  • Prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation
  • Reviews system requirements and business processes
  • Works independently and as a member of a multi-functional, dynamic team
  • Support system testing as needed

Key Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data engineering, data analytics, management information systems, mathematics, statistics or equivalent
  • Sophomore standing or higher
  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of data languages such as Python, SAS, R, Java, C, C++ Demonstrated experience or knowledge of relational database engines such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple concurrent development projects
  • Applicants for this position must be a U.S. Person, as defined by U.S. export control laws

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or research experience is a plus
  • Understanding of source code control
  • Understanding of software development methodologies
  • Understanding of patterns and coding best practices
