Director of Operations

- Operations & Customer Experience: Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistency. Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and customer service excellence.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop district leaders, fostering a high-performance culture, effective training, and continuous talent growth.
- Financial Management & Strategic Growth: Manage budgets, P&L, and cost control strategies to optimize profitability. Collaborate with leadership on growth strategies and drive continuous operational improvement across locations.
- Drive Growth & Profitability: Regularly review and adjust the budget and financial reports to ensure cost goals are met. Implement strategies to optimize labor, track performance against financial goals, and ensure key profit-driving actions are executed in a timely manner.
- Ensure Operational Excellence: Conduct daily operational reviews to ensure adherence to brand standards. Regularly assess performance metrics, respond to customer feedback, and implement action plans to improve service quality.
- Lead & Develop Teams: Hold weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with District Managers, ensuring consistent training and development. Work with HR and other departments to fill staffing gaps quickly and develop training programs that align with business needs.
- Foster Guest Satisfaction & Compliance: Address and resolve guest concerns within 24 hours, ensuring that guest satisfaction is prioritized.
- Collaborate & Align: Actively participate in weekly leadership meetings, contribute to discussions, and align team goals with corporate objectives. Share progress updates and ensure all team members are informed and working toward shared priorities.
- Culture Keeper: Foster a recognition culture, coach privately and praise publicly, and promote healthy competition and collaboration across locations.
- Same Store Sales Growth: Restaurants are meeting or exceeding SSS% goals.
- Customer Dissatisfaction Scores: Measure overall customer satisfaction through SMG surveys and reporting.
- Flavor Lab Completion: Track training completion for all employees using the LMS platform.
- QSC Evaluations: Maintaining Operational Excellence by passing corporate visits exceptionally.
- Certified Training: Maintain GM training requirements for self and continue education as needed.6
- Profitability: Maintain a high level of profitability by managing the line items on the P&L and ensuring positive top line sales growth.
- People Pipeline: Ensures that there is a pipeline of employees for growth and development to fill restaurant and above restaurant leadership roles.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a high-performance culture while developing and mentoring restaurant managers.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, P&L management, cost control, and financial performance tracking to ensure profitability.
- Operational Excellence: Expertise in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, service quality, and consistency across multiple locations.
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address operational challenges and make quick, effective decisions.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with senior leadership, staff, and external partners, ensuring alignment and clear direction.
- Customer Focus: A deep commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, handling customer feedback, and continuously improving service standards.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Ability to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals, focusing on growth, efficiency, and innovation.
- Compliance & Safety Management: Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards, ensuring all locations meet or exceed required guidelines.
- Time Management & Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple locations and responsibilities effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet operational goals.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfort with using restaurant management software, financial tracking tools, and performance metrics systems to streamline operations.
- Proven experience in restaurant management, ideally with at least 2 years of experience in a Director role.
- ServSafe certification.
- Bachelors in Business Management, Hospitality or related field is a plus.
- General Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, or move around for extended periods during meetings, presentations, or line work. This includes the ability to bend frequently.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in typing and using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones.
- Visual and Auditory Acuity: Ability to read printed and digital documents. Clear hearing for phone and in-person communication.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to [50 pounds], such as food products.
- Travel: Frequent travel to multiple locations (>75%)
- Availability to primarily work during areas of business growth, including nights and weekends.
- 50-55 hour per week time commitment.
