Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts (schedule covers all days of the week, including rotating weekends, holidays, and call). Available shift times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM; 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (night)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub across multiple service lines including General, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Thoracic, and Robotics
- Ensure patient safety by maintaining sterile technique and anticipating the needs of the surgical team
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to deliver seamless care
- Operate and document in clinical systems such as Epic and Pyxis, and communicate effectively using Vocera and Outlook
- Prepare and verify surgical instruments and supplies, and support efficient OR turnover
- Educate and reassure patients and families as appropriate before and after procedures
- Assist with call coverage and participate in rotating weekend and holiday schedules
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience (mandatory)
- Valid Ohio RN license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association only
- Preferred: Level I trauma experience and CNOR certification
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, walk throughout the day and lift, push, or pull up to 250 lbs with assistance
- Comfortable using Epic, Pyxis, Vocera, and Outlook in a fast-paced OR environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Operating Room nursing: circulating and scrubbing
- Perioperative workflows across multiple surgical specialties
- Electronic health record documentation in Epic
- Medication dispensing systems like Pyxis
- Real-time communication via Vocera
- Strong sterile technique and infection control practices
- Team communication and collaboration in high-acuity surgical settings
