***Position can be filled at Clearance Engineer levels 1, 2, 3 and Senior depending on experience level***

Job Summary
A Clearance Engineer 1 is an entry-level engineering role responsible for supporting hydraulic modeling, system analysis, and infrastructure design verification under the guidance of senior clearance engineers. This role assists in executing clearance requests, reviewing basic tie-in and bypass plans, and supporting emergency and outage response activities. A Clearance Engineer 1 will also contribute to winter operations planning and provide foundational support to gas control operations.



Essential Functions

• Assist in conducting hydraulic modeling and validation to support system efficiency and reliability.
• Support system analysis efforts to identify potential risks and operational improvements.
• Provide basic engineering support for infrastructure design and construction feasibility.
• Assist in executing clearance requests in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Support emergency and outage response activities by gathering data and assisting with technical solutions.
• Review and provide input on tie-in and bypass plans under supervision.
• Contribute to the development of emergency isolation plans.
• Participate in winter operations planning and support execution activities.
• Provide foundational support to gas control operations to ensure safe gas distribution.

Required Qualifications For Position

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
• 0–2 years of experience in engineering
• Familiarity with engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety and regulatory standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in emergency and outage situations under supervision.

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

• Experience preferably in gas distribution or infrastructure projects.
• Engineer in Training certificate Upon Hire

Salary Range*:

$67,900.00 - $165,300.00

• The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
