TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical and Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: Basic Life Support required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: The position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients. Experience in oncology is preferred but not required. The unit cares for patients with solid tumor cancers, including various subtypes. Common diagnoses include breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, colon cancer, and esophageal cancer. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4 but may extend to 1:5 based on patient needs. Weekend shifts are variable based on unit requirements. There is no set scheduling as requests will be self-scheduled for team consideration. Orientation includes the first week on days and the second week with on-unit training. Responsible for telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation in patient care. Must adhere to infection prevention protocols and safety measures. Experience in accessing and managing ports, administering chemotherapy, and blood product administration is necessary. Floating to other medical-surgical oncology units may be required. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected in patient management. Candidates should be proactive and responsive during the credentialing process. Two professional references are required, including one from a leadership role. About Cynet Health
