What You’ll Do as a CDL Driver / Equipment Operator

• Haul and deliver machinery, industrial equipment, and tools to job sites
• Operate lowboys, RGNs, and other heavy haul trailers
• Assist crews with machinery loading, rigging, and safe unloads as needed
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring DOT compliance
• Secure loads using chains, binders, and protectors per company and DOT standards
• Maintain truck cleanliness, gear readiness, and daily inspection reports
• Communicate with dispatch and project managers to coordinate schedules
• Travel regionally as needed (home most nights)

Typical Pay & Experience Tiers

(Experience | Title | Hourly Rate)

• 0–2 Years | CDL Driver / Operator (Entry) | $26–$30/hr
• 2–5 Years | CDL Driver / Operator (Skilled) | $30–$34/hr
• 5+ Years | CDL Driver / Operator (Advanced) | $34–$38/hr
• Lead | CDL Driver / Equipment Foreman | $38–$42/hr+

Pay is based on proven experience and performance. Overtime is available and paid at premium rates. Drivers who perform consistently are eligible for any performance programs for excellence in safety, maintenance, and delivery standards with proven results.

Minimum Requirements

• Mechanically inclined and willing to learn rigging and millwright skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work on your feet, and operate basic tools safely
• Team-oriented, dependable, and safety-focused
• Willingness to travel regionally and work overtime
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Positive attitude, good communication, and willingness to grow

Experience Preferred

• Previous construction, mechanical, or industrial experience helpful
• Forklift or aerial/scissor-lift experience a plus
• Mechanical experience
