Job Details – Pediatric LPN Travel Nursing in Akron, OH

• Position Title: Locum Tenens Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pediatric Home Health
• Location: Akron, OH 44302 and surrounding areas (travel within 1 hour of facility)
• Assignment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Homecare
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 17, 2025
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Shifts: Night shifts available:
  • 2x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • 2x8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Option for 5x8-hour shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1440 - $1470
• Patient Population: Pediatrics, infants, adolescents (technology-dependent, tracheostomy, ventilator care)

Qualifications – LPN Pediatric Home Health Jobs in Ohio

• Active Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required at time of application)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Licensed Practical Nursing
• Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 6 months of experience in home health, pediatric nursing, acute care, or related healthcare settings
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar electronic documentation systems
• Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management preferred
• Strong communication skills for patient, family, and interdisciplinary team interactions
• Experience with pediatric and/or developmentally delayed patients preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

LPN Responsibilities – Pediatric Homecare Nursing

• Deliver compassionate in-home nursing care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
• Manage tracheostomies, ventilators, and other advanced medical equipment as needed
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document patient care using electronic health record systems
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Travel to patient homes within a 1-hour radius of Akron, Ohio
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for each pediatric patient
