Job Title:Custodial Worker-2nd shift

Department:Administration and Planning | FOD Operations Academic District Zone 1A and 1B Custodial

The Custodial Worker position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across university facilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing housekeeping duties such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors using manual methods or power equipment.
• Removing debris and cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, walkways, and entrances.
• Cleaning swimming pools, showers, and other designated areas.
• Climbing ladders and scaffolding as needed for cleaning tasks.
• Maintaining custodial equipment and supplies; restocking restrooms.
• Moving furniture and performing snow removal as required.
• Working primarily on 2nd shift with hours of Monday-Friday between 6:00pm-2:30am with flexibility for changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location based on operational needs.
• Availability for overtime as needed.
• This position is designated as a standby role under the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Ability to count and read warning signs accurately.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing conditions.
• Exposure to high and low temperatures, outdoor weather conditions, and potential handling of hazardous materials.
• Physical requirements include constant standing, walking, and gripping. Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching. Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  
  

Additional Information

The target hiring range for this job profile is $15.30-$19.13 per hour. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
