About the role: The Parts Runner plays a vital role in supporting the dealership's service and parts operations. This position involves the timely and accurate delivery of parts to technicians, assisting with inventory management, and ensuring the smooth flow of parts within the dealership.

Responsibilities

Parts Delivery:

• Pick up and deliver parts and supplies to various departments within the dealership, including the service department and other designated areas
• Ensure parts are properly packaged and labeled for transport
• Confirm orders are placed in the correct staging zones based on shipping schedules, routes or carriers
• Deliver parts to technicians in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Assist in picking up and returning parts from local suppliers or other dealership locations as needed
• Help with loading orders onto the delivery trucks

Inventory Management:

• Assist with stocking and organizing parts shelves and bins
• Help maintain accurate inventory records
• Cross-check orders to confirm that all items, quantities and labels match shipping documents
• Ensure that orders are packed and labeled correctly
• Identify and report any discrepancies or shortages in stock 

General Support:

• Assist with receiving parts orders and locating stock
• Keep the parts department clean and organized by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors, and dusting parts bins daily
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Parts Manager/Supervisor

Customer Service:

• Provide friendly and efficient service to customers and technicians
• Answer phone calls and provide information as needed
• Assist customers with locating parts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have a valid driver's license and must meet motor vehicle report insurance standards
• Prior warehouse experience can be advantageous
• Attention to detail and accuracy crucial
• Excellent communication, organizational 
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts preferred

• Proficiency with warehouse equipment
• Ability to lift and carry parts and supplies
• Safety awareness
