Senior Actuary, Annuities Valuation - REMOTE
**Nationwide Financial** is seeking a talented and experienced **Senior Actuary, Annuities Valuation** to lead a small team within our Variable Annuity (VA) business. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage and contribute to a key product line within our organization.* **Management & Leadership:** Lead and mentor a team of actuarial professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.* **Variable Annuity Expertise:** Focus on our largest earning segment, the variable annuity line of business, including RILA products.* **Technical Skills:** Utilize technical skills and actuarial expertise to contribute to valuation requirements, documentation, and reporting.* FSA designation required.* 6+ years of actuarial experience.* Experience with annuity products or valuation.* Management experience preferred.* Strong technical skills.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* This role can be fully remote.* This position will be staffed at the internal H5 pay band or lower depending on the qualifications of the candidate.* Provides strategic direction and knowledge for the compilation, categorization and analysis of data and financial reporting and analysis.* Constructs sophisticated testing tools and analyzes product calculations.* Leads, provides expertise and builds strategies for pricing and implementation of products.* Constructs, maintains and completes Actuarial, Projection & Valuation Models.* Analyzes risks and reinsurance for lines of business.* Establishes reserves and other valuation items under multiple accounting regimes (statutory, GAAP and tax) for products.* Builds cohesive presentations, communication strategies and recommendations of actuarial findings that are suitable for technical and non-technical audiences at the OCFO leadership level.We have an array of benefits to fit your needs, including: medical/dental/vision, life insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off with newly hired associates receiving a minimum of 18 days paid time off each full calendar year pro-rated quarterly based on hire date, nine paid holidays, 8 hours of Lifetime paid time off, 8 hours of Unity Day paid time off, 401(k) with company match, company-paid pension plan, business casual attire, and more.
