Product Designer

Position Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative and functional products that enhance user experience and meet market needs. This role requires a passion for product design, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This is a remote or hybrid role that will be 6 months, 40 hours/week. Ideally, this candidate will be located in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, North Carolina or Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop SKU-level designs from conception through final sample approval - that fit into the line plan to drive financial growth and profit, fit into seasonal concepts and big ideas, assortment strategies, price point (cost engineer) and overall creative direction
• Research and develop into seasonal and global trends, themes and styling and/or product form, function and manufacturing processes. Pre-develop new materials, shapes and finishes as requested for Concept Presentations.
• Work collaboratively with teams and communicate effectively through the design life-cycle, from sketch and CAD through to final sample approvals.
• Create innovative product designs from concept to final production using Rhino and other design software.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and are feasible for manufacturing.
• Manage and ensure each project's adherence to master calendar deadlines, utilizing strong organizational and scheduling skills.

Qualifications

• BFA or MA in Industrial Design, Furniture Design or any related design field.
• 3+ years experience in design/drafting and specifying furniture, lighting or home decor products in a fast-paced environment. Upholstery experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Rhino and other design software.
• Experience in furniture design, CAD design, or 3D design is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
