Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment in our production facilities, with a focus on meat processing and manufacturing. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high safety standards and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Collaborate with production team to minimize downtime and optimize workflow
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the workplace
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a food manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of maintenance practices related to meat processing and manufacturing
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary
