Part-Time Baggage Handler

Transdev in Columbus, OhioviaColumbus Airport is hiring a Part Time Baggage Handler to provide operational oversight, day-to-day operational needs, and assist passengers in need, and with loading/unloading of baggage from the bus. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:

• $17.50 - $19.50 / hour

• 1st shift, 2nd shift, 3rd shift available - will be required to work weekends -

• This position can lead to full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees on-road service by tracking trip performance measures, route began on time, performance, incidents, etc.

• Provides customer support by responding to questions/concerns regarding schedules, lost items, timing, and general service challenges. Assists passengers in need, and with loading/unloading of baggage from the bus.

• Assists in emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between drivers, management, and emergency services.

• Reconcile physical passenger counts and electronic count from the bus systems if equipped.

• Other duties as assigned by General Manager or Direct Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license

• Technical degree preferred

• ADA knowledge

• 2 years customer service experience

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal skills, email, and phone skills

• Excellent customer service skills & problem solving skills

• Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
