Schedule:

Standard operating hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday-Friday. Specific work hours will be established through discussions with your supervisor.

Hourly Wage:

$17.40 /hr. to start - $18.40 /hr. after 90 Days

Job Summary:

The Driver/Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of all drivers to ensure Participant safety while meeting transportation needs of the center. And directly transporting physically limited passengers to and from their destinations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drives Participants to and from scheduled doctor’s appointments and to the center.
  • Coordinates the activity of staff entering private homes of Participants.
  • Supervises the daily activities of drivers/PCAs.
  • Responsible for coordinating all outside transportation service providers and logging transportation encounters into Pacelogic.
  • Utilizing Tripmaster Scheduling Software.
  • Prepares daily transportation schedules.
  • Communicates changes in Participant statues and specific Participant transport needs to drivers.
  • Maintains an accurate Participant list.
  • Properly assigns automated reminder calls that go out to Participants and/or participant caregivers.
  • Coordinates appointments, and medication/supply deliveries, often at the request of Clinic staff.
  • Communicates vehicle maintenance issues to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Schedules vehicle maintenance appointments at the direction of the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Submits maintenance invoices to the Transportation Supervisor for tracking and payment.
  • Conducts initial and periodic assessments.
  • Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participates in the development of the IDT Plan of care.
  • Completes all documentation in electronic medical records as required.
  • Monitors driver’s attendance within the company’s electronic attendance tracking system, approves Paid Time Off requests with the Center Manager and ensures any necessary payroll information is submitted timely.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Less than 5 direct reports with the support of the Center Manager.

Education and Experience:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience working with the frail/elderly population.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license
  • CPR and First Aid Certification

Requirements:

  • Requires valid State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. May have to lift/push up to 25 pounds with proper equipment. Is subject to lifting, carrying, and supporting Participants.
  • Is subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Must be constantly alert for Participant’s safety.

Employment Requirements: Successful completion of Criminal History Check and Office of Inspector General check (at employer’s expense). Successful completion of post-offer employment drug screening and physical (at employer’s expense). CPR

and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain at employer’s expense. Individuals must have one year of prior experience caring for the frail elderly or willing to complete Company paid training to meet this requirement.

This position has full access to Participant, program, and staff records and reports, requiring discretion to protect individuals and the program.
