Position Summary:

Saint Mary Parish is seeking a faith-filled, experienced, and enthusiastic Preschool Director to lead the Preschool, an early childhood education program. The Preschool serves children ages 3 to 5 in a nurturing environment rooted in Catholic values.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation and schedule of the preschool in accordance with diocesan, state, and licensing guidelines.
• Recruit, lead, and support teaching staff through coaching, evaluation, and professional development – ensuring adherence to diocesan safe environment standards.
• Manage enrollment, budgeting, staff schedules, and compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. This includes maintaining all student and staff files.
• Ensure a developmentally appropriate and faith-integrated curriculum is provided.
• Foster positive relationships with teaching staff, parents, and children through communication, conferences, and community-building events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in early childhood education, including administrative or leadership roles.
• Organized and detail-oriented, especially regarding licensing and compliance with all state licensing regulations.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills and work ethic compatible with the culture of a Roman Catholic parish.
• Strong technology skills.
• Ability to lead with professionalism, warmth, and integrity.
• Ability to adapt effectively to the changing needs and challenges of students and staff.
• A practicing Roman Catholic who is in full communion with the Church.
