This position supports our Industrial Water Group, delivering engineering solutions for industrial water treatment and process systems.
MPW Industrial Water provides reliable water solutions featuring custom-designed mobile and base load systems to enhance water quality and reduce operating costs.
JOB FUNCTION:
The Operations Engineer supports MPW’s Industrial Water division by providing technical expertise across plant services, field services, and customer support. This role serves as a liaison between internal departments, vendors, and clients to ensure that operational goals and contractual obligations are achieved. The Operations Engineer will assist field teams with diagnostics, maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts in safety, equipment performance, and overall service quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Position must review product operation for compliance with engineering principles, organization standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Ensure adherence to all safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
2. Apply engineering experience to review and improve designs, focusing on safety through engineering, procedural, and process controls.
3. Provide field operations support including diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and control systems.
4. Interpret electrical schematics and assist in the assembly, wiring, and testing of control panels and instrumentation.
5. Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/SLC controllers and RSView32/FactoryTalk HMI systems.
6. Work independently or as part of a project team to manage project deliverables and timelines.
7. Support project lifecycle activities, including quantity/quality compliance, PLC programming, field testing, installation planning, and commissioning.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—sales, applications, and field service—to ensure customer satisfaction and solution delivery.
9. Evaluate product and system compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contractual requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. Associate’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
2. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in power distribution, networking, control systems, and instrumentation.
3. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
4. Practical experience with Allen-Bradley systems and FactoryTalk software.
Knowledge of Ethernet/IP networking and NEC electrical code standards
