Trucking Safety & Compliance Coordinator

Walgre Transport Inc. operates a growing truck fleet across North America. We are a performance-driven company focused on safety, efficiency, and driver accountability. We are looking for a results-oriented Safety Coordinator to help strengthen compliance and reduce operational risk.

Position Overview

The Safety Coordinator will manage day-to-day safety operations, driver compliance, and performance monitoring. This role requires someone who can take ownership, enforce standards, and proactively improve safety outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage HOS/ELD compliance and violations
• Conduct driver onboarding and safety orientation
• Maintain and audit driver qualification (DQ) files
• Manage drug & alcohol program compliance
• Investigate incidents, violations, and safety events
• Coach drivers and enforce corrective actions
• Collaborate with dispatch on high-risk drivers
• Track and report safety KPIs and trends
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in trucking safety or compliance
• Strong understanding of HOS, ELD systems, and DOT regulations
• Experience with driver files and audits
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to hold drivers accountable and enforce policies

Preferred

• Experience with Samsara, Mcleod, or similar systems
• Background in fleet operations or dispatch
• Experience handling safety audits or violations

Compensation

• Up to 50,000 per year (based on experience)
• Performance bonus: $5,000 – $10,000 annually (based on safety KPIs)
