Event Staff

Snider-Blake is in need of reliable Event Staff Laborers for a client in the downtown Cleveland, OH area . This is an as-needed part-time role that supports the operations of a large event facility. This role includes maintaining facility cleanliness, assisting with event setups and breakdowns, and performing general labor tasks to ensure smooth daily operations, meetings, and events.

Pay Rate: $17.26/hr

Hours: As Needed; must be available for evenings, weekends and holidays

Dress Code: Must wear blue work attire: pants, shirts, shoes or boots. No jeans, hoodies, or tennis shoes.

Job Duties:

• Set up and break down event spaces, including arranging furniture, equipment, and decorations.
• Clean and maintain common area spaces, offices, restrooms and event spaces and meeting rooms. (Clean tables, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.).
• Perform occasional window and wall cleaning, as well as garbage collection and preparation for pickup.
• Assist with basic facility maintenance and minor repairs.
• Work closely with the custodial crew, city trades and other team members to meet event and daily operational needs.
• Perform outdoor seasonal maintenance as needed.
• Support event staff with crowd control, ushering attendees/guests etc.
• Follow health and safety regulations with all tasks during events, meetings and operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with set up and take down of events is a plus.
•  Ability to perform manual labor under supervision.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance practices.
• Physical stamina to lift at least 50 lbs., stand for long periods and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Ability to operate hand tools and equipment (Tow Motor, Floor Scrubber experience is a plus).
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
• Teamwork skills and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays. Shifts can vary depending on the event, including early mornings or late nights.
