Job Description:

As a Trailer Mechanic at DSI Bulk Transport , you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and basic repairs to trailers. These repairs could involve, brake and wheel hubs, air systems, tires, and body repairs.

Trailer Mechanic Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M.
• Saturdays optional (O.T.)

Trailer Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance
• Straighten and repair tailgates.
• Repair and diagnose air brake systems.
• Communicate potential issues with equipment to other departments.
• Adjust/replace faulty bearings/hubs.
• Diagnose and repair air suspension components.

Trailer Mechanic Benefits:

• Starting pay is $22 an hour and up depending on experience
• Quarterly attendance bonus ($100)

Trailer Mechanic Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic / auto mechanic / trailer mechanic.
• -OR- degree from a tech school in automotive or diesel mechanics.
• 3+ years of experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience is a bonus.
• Ability to weld is advantageous.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, their components, and systems is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose issues with welding and cutting equipment is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license.
