- Demonstrate safety leadership through proactive hazard identification and engineered solutions.
- Lead PLC and HMI programming using Rockwell Automation platforms including Studio 5000 and
FactoryTalk View. - Design, review, and commission industrial control systems and automation architectures.
- Lead control panel design efforts including layouts, component selection, wiring, and code
compliance (NEC, UL508A, NFPA 70E). - Serve as the lead controls engineer on capital and operational improvement projects.
- Design and troubleshoot industrial OT networks using Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, and Modbus.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex automation issues. Mentor Controls Engineers I-II, co-ops, and interns. Influence and help define division-level automation and electrical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive industrial automation and controls experience.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation platforms (PLC, HMI, VFDs).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with low- and medium-voltage motor control and power distribution systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 35% to support RMG facilities.
- Experience in heavy industrial, recycling, mining, or metals environments.
- Advanced knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety programs.
- Industrial OT networking architecture experience.
- Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or equivalent.
