Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring at least 3 years of med/surg experience, Epic proficiency, and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a large academic medical center in Ohio
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization as needed
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of med/surg experience required
• IV insertion skills required
• Telemetry (tele) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; second reference may be from a Charge RN; co-worker references are not accepted
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible to apply after a 6-month separation period
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an assignment — candidates outside of Ohio may need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Multiple parking options are available to agency staff near the medical center, ranging from a budget shuttle-accessible option to guaranteed garage access, purchasable through CampusParc
