• Unit: 7 West – Medical/Surgical Respiratory (28-bed Med/Surg Respiratory Unit)
• Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse (W2)
• Start Date: January 4, 2026
• End Date: January 31, 2026
• Assignment Duration: 4 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $1960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (verifiable via Nursys) – required for Ohio nursing jobs
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or LTACH RN experience, specializing in tracheostomy and chronic ventilator patient care
• Recent Epic EMR experience (within the last 12 months)
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• At least 2 years of recent blood draw experience
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed for clinical support
• Must be able to work every other weekend
• Solid black scrubs required
• Resume must reflect all required experience and certifications
• Maximum 2 days of requested time off (RTO); no block scheduling requests accepted

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with respiratory conditions, including tracheostomy and chronic ventilator management
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using Epic EMR
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse
• Perform blood draws and essential clinical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to other hospital units as required to provide clinical support
• Maintain infection control and safety standards in the healthcare setting
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion and professionalism
