Investment Risk Manager - Fixed Income

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in investment risk management, quantitative modeling, or related fields; graduate studies may substitute for some experience

• Strong technical skills in Python, Spark, SQL, or similar programming languages

• Hands-on experience with data engineering tools (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS)

• Deep understanding of fixed income, equities, alternatives, and derivatives

• Strong grasp of advanced analytics techniques such as scenario analysis, stress testing, factor analysis, and performance attribution

• Knowledge of financial risk modeling techniques including Monte Carlo simulations, stochastic processes, and economic scenario generation

• Demonstrated expertise in portfolio construction, hedging strategies, and ALM practices

• Strong communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical findings for a business audience

• CFA, FRM, or similar professional designation preferred

• High attention to detail, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a strong interest in financial markets and risk management

Detailed Job Description

• Develop and refine risk models and applications across investment portfolios including fixed income, equity, alternatives, and derivatives

• Create and implement advanced quantitative analytics and signals to optimize portfolio construction and risk management

• Conduct scenario analysis, factor analysis, performance attribution, and cycle analysis to generate insights on portfolio risk and return

• Lead risk analytics projects in collaboration with business partners and contribute to strategic business objectives

• Serve as the key liaison between technical risk teams and business stakeholders, translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations

• Research industry best practices and integrate innovative risk methodologies into internal tools and processes

• Drive data strategy by designing scalable data workflows and leveraging cloud-based infrastructure to support risk modeling

• Communicate risk insights clearly and effectively through presentations, data visualizations, and written reports

• Oversee the governance and consistent application of modeling tools and frameworks

• Maintain an active awareness of market conditions, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends to assess their impact on portfolio risk

• Mentor and guide junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and analytical rigor
