Middle School English Language Arts Teacher – York Middle School
York Public Schools is accepting applications for a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at York Middle School . We are looking for an enthusiastic, student-centered educator who is passionate about literacy, writing, and helping students grow as confident communicators.
Position Details:
- Full-time, certified teaching position (Grades 6–8)
- Start Date: August 2026

Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering engaging instruction in reading, writing, vocabulary, and language skills
- Using data to guide instruction and support student growth
- Collaborating with the ELA team and grade-level teams
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Communicating effectively with students, families, and staff
Qualifications:
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) with the appropriate endorsement for Middle Grades or ELA
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for literacy and working with middle school students
- Experience with middle-level learners preferred
