Barista (Primer Coffee and Spirits)

Primer Coffee and Spirits is looking for a skilled and passionate barista to join our team at Canvas @ Valor Acres. The barista will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a welcoming and comfortable coffee shop environment.

This is a part time hourly position, that does not include benefits.

A typical day looks like:

• Preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages to customers
• Greeting customers and taking orders with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Operating espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment with precision and care
• Maintaining a clean and organized coffee bar area, including restocking supplies
• Educating customers about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and specialty drinks
• Handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
• Assisting in maintaining a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers
• Upholding hygiene and sanitation standards for all equipment and work areas
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
• Learning and adapting to new coffee blends and menu offerings
• Responding to customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns

Do you have what it takes?

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role
• Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and espresso preparation
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Enthusiasm for coffee culture and a willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality beverages
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
• Must be able to push, pull, and/or safely lift up to 50lbs
