Mechanic
MIRK Inc. is a family-owned and operated business since 1972. We're on the lookout for a skilled Mechanic to join our dedicated crew! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to maintain and repair aerial devices and other equipment like bucket trucks, digger trucks, and cranes that are essential in the utility and forestry industries. Your expertise will help ensure that our equipment runs smoothly and safely.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Inspecting equipment, engines, and transmissions while running diagnostic tests to uncover any issues.
- Conducting repairs to keep our fleet in top condition.
- Troubleshooting problems and resolving them efficiently.
- Keeping machinery clean and applying lubricants as needed.
- Performing DOT annual inspections with confidence.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills to work with our team.
- A knack for problem-solving to tackle challenges head-on.
- High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Mechanic.
- A good attendance record is important to us!
- Having a strong hydraulic and electrical background is a plus.
- Welding experience is a bonus!
- A current CDL is preferred but not required.
- You should be able to routinely lift or carry 50lbs.
