What we need:
We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Natural Resources Technician 2 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Caesar Creek State Park in Warren County . The address is 8570 East SR 73, Waynesville, OH 45068.
What you will do…
- Perform grounds and facility maintenance across a large and diverse state park that includes a public beach, nature center, pioneer village, marina, large campground, equestrian campground, 63 miles of trail, six group camps, five boat ramps, and a day lodge.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and in a variety of terrain and environments.
- Maintain campground facilities, grounds, &/or a variety of park equipment.
- Perform customer service functions with a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
- Work in different field operations including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, masonry, and operating hand and power tools.
- Support daily operations that frequently require flexibility, problem-solving, and teamwork.
- Starting hourly pay of $20.85/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 4 years of service, with an end salary of $22.96/hr.
- There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA pay range schedule & longevity rates OCSEA Employees | Department of Administrative Services.
