Dental Hygienist Ohio

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventative care procedures.
- Educate patients about the importance of oral hygiene and proper brushing/flossing techniques.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required by patient care protocols.
- Assist in the assessment of patient’s gum health and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Document patient treatments and care in electronic health records accurately and timely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Current and valid dental hygienist license in the state of Ohio.
- Associate's degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
- Basic proficiency in using dental technology and electronic health record systems.
