Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventative care procedures.
  • Educate patients about the importance of oral hygiene and proper brushing/flossing techniques.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required by patient care protocols.
  • Assist in the assessment of patient’s gum health and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Document patient treatments and care in electronic health records accurately and timely.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental operatory and sterilization areas.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • Current and valid dental hygienist license in the state of Ohio.
  • Associate's degree or higher in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and patient care practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate patients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
  • Basic proficiency in using dental technology and electronic health record systems.
