Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact between customers, the sales team, and internal departments. This role is responsible for processing incoming orders, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating deliveries and pickups. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls and place outbound calls to customers to provide product and service information, process orders, and resolve issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, products, billing, and deliveries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and resolutions.
- Troubleshoot customer concerns and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Coordinate same-day deliveries and customer pickups when needed.
- Process pickup requests from customers and internal sales teams.
- Respond to delivery and routing questions from customers.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and order details.
- Review and confirm invoices, maintain organized documentation, and file records.
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships through consistent communication and service.
- Generate and review weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve service processes, shipping methods, or customer experience.
- Follow all applicable safety and quality requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or food-related environments is beneficial.
