Position Overview: NSA’s HR Assistant will work to support the HR team with a multitude of projects and administrative tasks.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform receptionist duties such as greeting and assisting guests, distributing mail, assisting HR team with uploading documents, tracking training, light phone calls, etc.
  • Workstation is located at a front desk area. Ability to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and work effectively with interruptions is crucial.
  • First point of contact for employees with questions or needs.
  • Assist with scheduling sewing assessments, prepare sewing certificates and training evaluations.
  • Assist with payroll including reviewing timecards, entering time off requests, etc.
  • Prepare applicant packets, new hire folders, and training materials.
  • Assist HR team with onboarding new hires, helping with benefits open enrollment, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Update internal postings and communications, track employee referral bonuses
  • Assist with planning and organizing company events (annual summer event, quarterly employee meetings), service awards program.
  • Create postings and fliers to advertise surveys, events, etc. Maintain birthday and anniversary postings on TV monitors, as well as current events.
  • Research other avenues to attract candidates and connect with community organizations to broaden the NSA footprint in the market.
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural workforce with multiple languages being spoken and use Translation app’s as needed
  • File maintenance and organization, data entry into HRIS.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a very fast-paced environment.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
  • Other duties as assigned.
Training: Provided on the job.

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Minimum 1-year of experience in similar position. Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary. Strong computer skills, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail required.
