Locum - Physician - Surgery - Vascular

**Schedule**: Daily inpatient rounding with 24-hour call responsibilities.
**Call Coverage**: Both in-house and phone call options.
**Call Ratio**: Not applicable; PA's handle after-hours call unless stated otherwise by the surgeon.
**Number of Providers Required**: 1
**Practice Settings**: Inpatient / Hospital-Based
**Leadership/Teaching Requirement**: None
**Patient Demographics**: Adult and geriatric populations.
**Inpatient vs Outpatient Ratio**: 100% inpatient care.
**Average Daily Patient Volume**: Typically 2 to 4 patients, but may vary based on the sign-out situation.
**Trauma Designation**: Not designated as a Trauma location; classified as an acute care facility.
**Required Skills and Responsibilities**:
- Postoperative care for various vascular surgery cases.
- Performing emergency vascular surgeries. - Handling consults and referrals from the Emergency Department and other hospital providers.
**Documentation System**: Epic EMR.
**Facility Description**: Community hospital environment.
**Credentialing Information**:
- **Estimated Credentialing Timeframe**: Less than 2 weeks, due to urgent need.
- **Temporary Privileges**: Available.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery (Required).
- Active Ohio Medical License (Required; no exceptions). - ACLS Certification (Required).
- DEA Certification (Required).
- Clean background, no malpractice or licensing issues (Required).
- Availability for the specified dates (Required).
**Certification Requirements**:
- ACLS Certification
- Board Certification in Vascular Surgery
- DEA Registration
