Job Description: Winter Services Technician. 20 temporary/full-time positions with Oberson's Nursery and Landscapes LLC - Hamilton from 12/1/2025 - 3/1/2026. Employees will keep the outside of both private commercial buildings (office buildings, retail centers, etc.) and residential buildings in clean and orderly condition by removing snow and leaves from sidewalks, driveways, yards, or parking areas, using snow shovels, snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, ice chippers, or salt spreaders; gather and empty trash and debris by hand or with a trash picker; fall/winter storm cleanup including clearing debris from grounds; and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random. Must have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions. Work schedule is at least 5 days per week with exact daily work hours varying by day and work days varying by week to include Saturday and Sunday. We will offer at least 40 hours in a typical workweek. Hours in excess of 40 will vary depending on staff, production quotas, and other factors to be evaluated on a daily basis. Employer provides incidental transport between job sites. Employer offers free daily transportation to/from worksite from designated pick-up location. Use of transportation is voluntary. Provision of Board/Lodging or Other Facilities: Yes. If requested, employer helps non-local workers secure optional worker-paid lodging. Is On-the-Job Training available?: Yes. Employer pays in advance or reimburses workers in the first workweek for all government-mandated and visa-related fees (excluding passport fees). For non-local workers (i.e., residing outside normal commuting distance), employer reimburses inbound travel costs at the 50% point in the contract (unless paid in advance). Inbound travel includes transportation costs from worker's permanent residence or place of recruitment, a daily meal subsistence (based on rates required by law, currently $16.28 per day minimum or $68.00 per day maximum for workers with acceptable receipts), and reasonable lodging costs, if applicable. Travel reimbursements based on least-cost common carrier rate. Employer provides or pays outbound travel costs upon completion of the contract period or early dismissal, except where the worker has subsequent employment. Employer guarantees to offer hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 6-week period of the total contract period, beginning with the worker's first workday and ending on the contract end date or any extension thereof.
