Staff Accountant

Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Newport, OR. If you are experienced in the preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of routine financing data across multiple locations and states and can create dynamic reports to support the functions of our accounting department, this is the job for you!Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily financial transactions and record to the general ledger on a timely/accurate basis (A/R, A/P, Inventory)
- PO/Receive Product invoices w/Accts Payable entry
- Assist with overseeing APC/AS400 product inventories
- Prepare and post journal entries, including all appropriate back-up information
- Prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for Asst Controller’s review each period
- Prepare Canadian Bank reconciliations for Asst Controller’s review
- Assist in accurate and timely reporting of financial results
- Assist in annual budget preparation as needed
- Ensure that all appropriate tax forms, registration, licenses, etc. are accurately prepared and submitted
- Assist with Ad hoc reporting for a variety of departments
- Perform other duties, as assigned
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with accounting software, Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- Accounting Certification
Total Compensation $52,500 to $61,688 yearly based on experience
