Position Summary
Thomson Plumbing is seeking an entry level Plumber to perform underground, rough-in and finish plumbing on multi-family new construction projects. The ideal candidate has some experience working on in the trades or general construction and is comfortable working on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Master Plumber in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems for commercial new construction and rehab projects (domestic water, sanitary, storm, vent, and gas piping).
- Perform rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing for apartment units and common areas.
- Assist in the installation and testing of piping, fittings, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and related equipment.
- Cut, thread, solder, press, glue, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures; maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in general construction, plumbing, HVAC, electric or similar manual jobs.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, work from lifts, and work in various site conditions.
- Solid communication skills and ability to work as part of a crew.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in plumbing is a plus.
Work Schedule & Environment
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
- Work on active construction sites in various weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage: $18-24 per hour , depending on experience.
- Benefits include: health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid holidays and PTO, and company-provided PPE.
