Building Maintenance Technician

A non-profit organization is seeking Building Maintenance Technicians to ensure efficient daily operations at various properties, keep them clean, landscaped, and well-maintained. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

Complete items on cleaning checklist and clear garbage and recycling from trash rooms and other areas
Maintain common areas floors by mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing and clean all common areas of the properties including public restrooms
Use supplies appropriately and monitor quantities
Clean outside areas seasonally, snow removal per snow removal policy, cut grass on a regular basis, remove leaves and other debris, and maintain planting areas including planting, fertilizing, and weeding maintenance
Complete work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and service requests
Assist with unit turnovers including cleaning, repairs, and painting
Maintain equipment including appliances and HVAC units
Inventory and/or purchase needed materials per procedures
Provide regular reporting on activities and property issues
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous maintenance experience is preferred
Must be able to go up and down stairs, reach, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds
Must be computer literate with email experience
Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation

Only candidates that can pass a background, BMV check, and drug screen will be considered.
