Healspace LLC and Talbot Health Services provide behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment services through evidence-based, recovery-focused care designed to support long-term wellness and improved quality of life. Our multidisciplinary team supports individuals experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions through compassionate, individualized treatment services.

We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and clinically strong Mental Health Therapists to join our Monroe Street team.

Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Candidates with experience in behavioral health, trauma treatment, co-occurring disorders, and community mental health environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

Position Summary

The Mental Health Therapist provides direct clinical services and therapeutic interventions to individuals receiving behavioral health treatment services. Responsibilities include assessment participation, treatment planning, individual counseling, group facilitation, crisis support, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

This role serves as an important member of the treatment team and supports clients in achieving treatment goals, emotional wellness, and long-term recovery success.

Services and documentation are expected to comply with agency standards, OhioMHAS requirements, Medicaid requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.

Primary Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

• Provide individual therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches
• Facilitate psychoeducational, therapeutic, and process groups
• Participate in behavioral health assessments and treatment planning activities
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans within required timeframes
• Monitor treatment participation and client progress toward goals
• Identify barriers affecting treatment progress and collaborate on interventions
• Provide crisis intervention support and communicate urgent concerns appropriately
• Coordinate care with medical staff, nursing teams, case management staff, and outside providers
• Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
• Support discharge planning and continuity-of-care efforts
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional boundaries

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following active Ohio licenses:

• LPC
• LPCC
• LSW
• LISW
• MFT
• IMFT

Additional qualifications:

• Active Ohio licensure in good standing required
• Experience working within behavioral health treatment settings preferred
• Experience with mental health and co-occurring populations preferred
• Group facilitation experience preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills required
• Electronic health record experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within an OhioMHAS-certified treatment program preferred
• Experience with trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing preferred
• Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and evidence-based interventions preferred
• Experience working with substance use and co-occurring treatment populations preferred
• Experience with crisis intervention and treatment planning preferred
• Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements preferred
