LabView GUI Software Developer:

Job Overview:

Complete a user-friendly GUI that allows for complete/smooth control of the Multi-Axis Centrifuge such that all test conditions can be fully performed/modified with immediate/easy access to all data outputs from the device in a manner that requires minimal end user training to utilize.

Key Responsibilities

1. Refine and enhance an existing LabVIEW-based user interface for improved usability and stability.
2. Troubleshoot and optimize control logic for industrial-grade servo motors and magnetic braking systems.
3. Integrate and synchronize data from motion capture cameras, onboard cameras, and inertial measurement units.
4. Maintain and expand communication protocols between microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi's, and the user's PC.
5. Interface with and expand on a relational database management system for backend test parameter and input data storage
6. Participate in weekly progress meetings and collaborate closely with Honda engineers in onsite testing and system debugging
7. Thoroughly document all code and system architecture, including inline comments and external documentation

Required Skills

1. LabVIEW: High proficiency and experience developing and debugging user interfaces.
2. C++: For embedded systems and motor control libraries (Teknic/Clear Path)
3. Microcontroller Programming: Experience with sensor integration and servo control.
4. Linux & Raspberry Pi: Familiarity with camera control and networking on embedded Linux systems.
5. Networking Protocols: UDP/IP
6. Motion Capture Systems: Experience integrating and synchronizing motion data.
7. Database Integration: Working knowledge of RDBMS' (Oracle) or similar relational databases.
