Summary

To administer film equipment and supplies in the Wolfe Center Film Equipment Lab for the Department of Theatre and Film.

Essential Functions

• Serve students and faculty in support of film equipment needs.
• Place and fulfill film equipment reservations.
• Review film equipment upon check out and return.
• Maintain film equipment by performing basic repairs and cleaning.
• Prepare film equipment for in-class demonstrations.
• Checking inventory for issues.
• Perform troubleshooting.
• Ensuring consistent stock of consumables to meet program needs.
• Supervision of production spaces outside of scheduled class meeting times.
• Provide advice/consultation/instruction to student users where appropriate.
• Making recommendations for acquisitions to meet program needs.
• Other duties as assigned in accordance with programmatic needs, under the direction of the faculty Film Lab Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Full-time student in good standing.
• Working knowledge of video production equipment, including but not limited to cameras, lighting, and audio recording tools.
• Competency in office programs, including Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work with fellow students, faculty, and staff.
• Able to do moderate lifting.
• Motivation and ability to work independently.
• Clear communicator, able to follow written and verbal instructions.
