Shipping and Receiving Clerk

The Advance Group has partnered with a Toledo, OH facility in need of a 1st shift Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Responsibilities for the Shipping Clerk:

• Utilize RF/WMS systems to ensure sufficient supply of inventory is on hand
• Track inventory movements, manage shipping schedules, and general shipping documents utilizing the computer system
• Ensures incoming inventory is stored and organized in an accurate manner
• Coordinates with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize shipping processes and reduce lead times
• Keeps track of inventory and completes required shipping paperwork
• Responsible for ensuring all shipments are packaged properly before leaving the facility
• Ensure receipts match up with packing lists and forward paperwork to Accounting department and makes them aware of any discrepancies
• Operate a sit-down and stand- up Forklift and Pallet Jack
• Inspects products for quality
• Packages and labels materials
• Order picking
• Cuts tarps to required size
• Read and interpret instructions and written orders
• Lifts materials weighing up to 75lbs
• Other duties as required, such as cleaning restrooms
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Compensation for the Shipping Clerk:

• $19/hr

Hours for the Shipping Clerk:

• Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
• Some overtime as needed

Requirements of Shipping Clerk:

• 1-2+yrs of Shipping experience

• High attention to detail and regard for accuracy and quality

• Proficiency with computers and digital inventory systems, including RF and WMS systems

• Ability to read and understand shipping paperwork, receipts, and work orders

• Previous Forklift experience preferred

• Good math skills and ability to read a ruler

• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record

• Motivated and eager to learn

• Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly and handle excessive walking

• High regard for safety

• High School Diploma or GED
